Earlier(2007)they took over Anchor Brand continuing the same.

Panasonic Brand is a new Entrant(Directly) in the Indian Market.
In feel you can get better discount at this stage, as they started
their own product marketing only this month(Feb 2014).

52% discount is what a guy (uttarahalli) offered , need to check in BVK road .
I could not find any review on this switches online - by seeing I felt they are good .
But looks can be deceptive :-)

I heard that there are so many fake switches with this brand names. How to find the genuine product in the market and which is the best brand to use for own house and good brands to use for rent houses. Please throw some light on this.

Always buy from authorized dealer , cross check with your electrician on the quality.
Legrand is my choice for own houses.

Most of the switch vendors have the habit of mixing old ad new switches , when buying lumpsum - be cautious so that you don't get older that 2years products.
