stained glass

I am planning to have stained glass across open area between hall and my open kitchen( probably with some art or multi colour)
and also to have a stained glass on the window on the staircase wall (internal staircase duplex house).
Will the stained glass reduce the sunlight inflow ?.

I have no clue about vendors or how the pricing is done.
Would be great if I can get any details regarding the same.
