I am looking for main door locks - plan to have 2 locks.
Europa and Godrej are the two vendors I am seeing around in Uttrahalli.
Which one is the best - safety is the priority here. please suggest.

Main doors locks brand wise both are same in technology not much different as of now. Safety wise lock is one of the element ,your door should be strong enough first.
While choosing locks you need to check the door thickness and type of frame it has.Two individual lock system is always better than a sigle multi stage lock.If one lock fails the other one works, in single lock if the lock fails entire system fails.
If you observe professional lockers like bank locker have multiple lock system than a single one.Typically you should plan one lock at top and one at the bottom level so the door is locked much stronger .
One lock should be just a lock option from out side with out any latch option so that some cannot make a hole or break window to open latch from inside with out a key (major theft cases were happened in this fashion)

Consider this option too.

Go for Godrej electronic, key pad and finger print sensor locks for main door and 2 to 3 important room and wardrobe door locks.
You have the option of getting only 4 keys for all the door locks put together which is customised to your requirement.

See how many keys x 3 sets you will save on by doing this.
I have atleast 12 x 3 keys - 36 keys right now, and i am planning to go for this arrangement to reduce the key nos. It is safe, no hassels with keys, to use keys only when the finger print or key pad passwords are both forgotten.

Chandu - have you bought the locks? Where did you buy it from, model and the cost? I need to hunt for this in the next week or so.

I got one Godrej and another Europa for main door - approx 2.5 and 2k
both are not auto-locking - don't know the modle name. - Key to be used from both front and back.
