Suggest solution for the Gap between the showcase and wall

Dear Forum Members,

Please find the image attached below and would like to know, how to fix the gap which has occurred. Suggestions are appreciated.

Sol 1 : purchase a wood corner beading of thickness greater than the gap and screw it on to the wall butting the showcase and covering the gap. It enhances the look of your showcase as well as covering the gap.
Sol 2 : Self expandable PU Foam is available in Compressed cans(For ex McCoySoudal PU 1k), Spray it and let the gap be filled. After it is set , Cut off the excess foam and apply putty and paint the gap.
