Has anyone used wall papers/wall coverings? DO they easily peel off? I heard that they last only 5-6 years, Any inputs would be helpful

Re: Wall coverings
although I have never personally used wall paper, heard of many stories of how people had to go through a tedious process to remove them. The thing with wall papers is, at first it looks good, but since it is covering a large area, you will get tired of it quickly and then the process of wanting to remove it begins (painful process I mean).
Instead - better way to go is paint the walls with neutral colors, use accents like borders or stencils, that way, firstly you won't have a large mass and get tired as fast, and secondly removal is a smaller area.

I have got wall papers and wave boards used to cover walls in each of my room... there are exclusive designs... which painting cannot offer... yes there are challenges in removing and maintaining wall papers... but if maintained, they last over 6 years and add aesthetic to you place...

Can you pl share some photographs and cost/sft? Also where did you procure? I saw many sites online but have a hunch that local guys may supply for less and install as well.naveenkr wrote:I have got wall papers and wave boards used to cover walls in each of my room... there are exclusive designs... which painting cannot offer... yes there are challenges in removing and maintaining wall papers... but if maintained, they last over 6 years and add aesthetic to you place...
