Can we have a Chat or messanger feature?

Hi,

Was just thinking if we could have a instant messanger kind of facility on the website; it could help when users are online then can use it to have a quick chat rather than sending pms and waiting for reply and so on.

We do have that option but we didn't want to activate it because many times members ask questions that are common for many .If they get answers in messenger, it will never be seen or added to forum knowledge .
We encourage any one to discuss the topics in forum rather than PM or messaging .PM is used only to share personal information since its not recommended to share that info on a public forum.
