Hi,

Can you pls suggest us whether to go for Granite Flooring in Bangalore?

Factors in my Mind :

1. We have 60+ years people in home
2. we also have 2+yrs kid
3. Effect of Slippery surface

Based on this ..

Is it good to go for Granite flooring for the Bangalore Climate with the above factors? or Going for Granite in Living and Dining areas and opt for Virtified for Bedrooms ?

Concerns I heard from people are :

1. Heard that Both are slippery
2. Granite surface will be too cold in bangalore especially in winter season

Pls suggest.

Hi,
Granite is a stone that can hold any kind of temperature for long time.If its cold it remains cold for long time same way hot.
This is one reason granites are used as alternate for pizza stone(out of topic :))
Slippery is a issue with the finishing ,any material with glossy finish is slippery .If u r looking warm feel go for Matt finish tiles (but don't complaint about not glossy looking).
If u want a functionally good flooring and very concerned about kids and aged ,Matt or semi matt finish is the best option.
