All new projects by all developers are to get interest free loans to complete their existing projects. The new project will get completed only after the next set of bakras for the future new project sign up
Better stay away from any launching project and look for apartments in completed projects only (there are plenty, not many buyers in this market)

As you told that you are staying inabroad and you are looking as investmetn purpose for your rainy days, I can Give one more alternative. (Dear msn1270 i need your feed back for this)
See you can look out for a plot in Yelankha may be 30*40 if you get for 30 lakhs also for building 1000 Sq.Ft you will spend another 10 to 12 lakh and for your entire life and for your future genarations land will be yours. you can customize house according to your wish and yelanaka is very good and claim area. Even though it may strach your budget a little. But this will be the best suggestion i can give from past my own experience. And from Jakkur or even from Hebbal you can travel to Yeklankha in 10 to 15 min. thanks to 6 way road. I hope you can think once more and you can do the right choice.
