Wall construction query

We are constructing a room with attached 6x5 toilet in
the ground floor garage area. The floor area for the
room is already laid with granite slabs. Can we now build
the toilet walls directly on the laid slabs ?

After looking up on the net, the weight of the toilet
walls resting on the slabs is

wall height: 7.5 feet, wall thickness 8"
0.0283 : cft to cmt 1920: masonry weight per cmt

(6+5) x 7.5 x (8/12) x 0.0283 x 1920 = 3 tons

We are considering only one part of the toilet walls, other
part is on plinth and not taken into account. Do we need
to cut out the granite slabs for the toilet room ?

(I hope the calculation is ok, I am not an expert)
Any feedback ? Thanks.

Hi Sholla,
Constructing wall on granite is not a problem with weight of the wall but it will not bind well to granite unless it has rough surface. Most granites will have smooth finish there by leading to loose contact.
Also incase the base of granite is not well packed in the past, you will not get to know the same . I recommend to remove it at least just below the wall area.
