Hi All,
I am planning to build our house with outer 9" red bricks and the inner partition wall with solid 4" blocks to save time and cost.
Any suggestion/downside with such combination would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rao

I have seen one such building in similar fashion. It doesn't look well at least till plastering. Also where ever red bricks meet cement bricks , chances of wall cracks are higher due to different heat related properties (elasticity ). Mesh before plastering is compulsory before plastering

Exactly..
Electrical or plumbing groove cutting is far easier in red bricks vs solid blocks. Other than that, it should have no major issues
