Hi,

I'm in lookout for contacts to get Elevator/Lift installed to my residential building(G+5).If anyone has gone through this procedure recently and have contacts handy, please share.

Building is G+5
Lift space: 5x6

I went thru the procedure, but gave up midway. Sharing my experience nevertheless,

it looks like elevator installation needs a separate approval (apart from building plan approval) from BBMP and BESCOM. This comes with separate fee and quite some bribes too.. (this will usually be handled by the lift provider)..

the lift chamber that is built, all walls should be carefully aligned and plastered for uniform thickness. In my construction, there some places where diagonally the distance was not consistent across floors, plus the walls were not exactly right angles.. rework on those is very complex and time consuming...

There should be quite a bit of coordination required between granite wall cladding team, as the steel and the granite pieces sit pretty close..
