Water sump construction cost

Post by rreddy18 »

I would like to construct water sump of 5000 ltrs , how much does it cost for brick. This is a temporary sump after 5 or 6 years I may go for more permanent one. Please suggest the best options.

water sump may cost anything between 13 rs (brick) to 22 rs (concrete) per liter.

However going by your requirements and with my experience with concrete tank go with FRP sump tank ( syntex or any other brand).

It is leakproof so no headach of waterproofing,
reusable so you can sell off after 5 years instead of creating demolition debris .
In the layout where my house construction is going on 15+ years old FRP tanks are going fine.

Don't listen to Mistry/ contractors they have very myopic view and limited experience. Search my thread on concrete tank waterproofing for more details.

I purchased 1 load of red bricks at Rs 7.5 from malur, used dr fixit Lw plus 2 ltrs and used iron mesh for avoiding cracks...with labor it should not cost more than 30K
