Searching for suitable brands to finalize the elevator for my residence

4 stops G 2 3 4
MRL, traction based , gearless
SS hairline finish, automatic, automatic rescue device and all latest standard features
5 passengers elevators 308 kgs, all necessary Bescom approvals to be taken care by lift company

Got quote from Teknix & Usha and some local guy named planet elevators

Teknix is around 11, usha around 10.5 and planet 10

Planet is out of question, wondering if these rates are fine for these.specs

AMC is costly for both Teknix & usha @ 28k pa

to my knowledge all these guys use same material for 4 stop 6 passenger lift (for u r spec ) we can spend up to 8.5 in the mid range (tecnix usha surya etc are in this category).
in the high end kone, otis, schindler etc it will cost up to 10 to 12
in the low end it can be up to 6.5 to 7

I feel (my personal opinion) for home lifts mid range is sufficient.
but when your going with mid range vendor you should check whether he can get the license for the installed lift or not.

Try Schindler, Kone, Johnson, Otis, These are too good brands, Usha and Surya are top Indian brands. Johnson I suppose is Indian.

Servicing is more important in elevators.

Checked out two MRL elevators installed in malleshwarem by usha elevators , they are brilliant. MRL gearless technology is indeed splendid. Going with usha

Hi Naveen
Usha elevators are good, they come in decent price. Machine room less (MRL) is available in almost all brands in india now.
Few points to consider while choosing the lift
1. Drive technology and brand . Most brands don't manufacture the drives but they import . Drive is like heart for the lift, it will define the speed, smooth operation
2. Safety features - what happens when power goes off ? its important for residential lifts because you wont be opting for generator.
3. Does the lift have inbuilt stabilizer other wise most times drive will have impact and its expensive to change it.
4. Service is utmost important thing to check and take opnions from people using the brand already. Also you have 3rd party maintenance teams.

Drive is from Italy, torrin drive

ARD is there which will bring the passengers to nearest level in case of power failure

Yes inbuilt stabilizer is present.
