u have sintered stone, thermo formed corian also
ss sinks , plenty of shapes and contours but no color choice.
granite\sintered stone\quartz limited shapes and color choice.
operationally ss sinks may dent ,scratch and clink.
granite is superior , because on mohs scale\scratch hardness it stands at 6-7, ss 5.
you might use granite stone sink without hesitation as a tool to crack coconut.

Granite sink is better from scratch resistant perspective. However, the projection at the lowest part of the sink would be a little odd and the cabinetry below the sink is tricky to align. It is also important to get a granite plate which has the lowest porosity.
SS Sink (304 grade) looks more royal and if proper care is taken, it would not stain nor would it scratch (if the vessels are thrown haphazardly inside). Nirali, Neelkanth, Franke are some of the decent brands you can review.

Verified both SS and granite and at last went with Granite molded sink @6000 rs per piece due to durability.

Hi,
Granite sink
1.The slopes inside the sink are so bad that water will drain out leaving all the solid particles in the sink unlike in steel sink every thing is collected in the middle
2.Granite monolithic is better compared to assembled model
3.Monolithic is so heavy that you need to build walls to support the same and it will never sit in line to the kitchen granite .
4.There will be joint right next to sink that has more chances of leak
5.The space below granite sink cannot be used for storing waste bin or detergents.
6.The waste coupling never match perfect to granite waste hole
7.No options of matching kitchen counter granite
8.No option of drain board, that is very important if you don't have separate utility sink. With out drain board the water from washed utensils will sit on the counter granite only
Steel sink
1.Makes noise if the gauge is less and bottom insulation rubber is missing
2.various sizes and options available with drain board and with out drain board.
3.Options of fixing tap to the sink or wall is possible
4.Acrylic sinks have option of colors to match your counter granite.
5.Bacteria free since the growth of bacteria in steel is very less compared to granite
6. Interesting shapes with lots of accessories is possible .

Hi,
I think Stainless steel is much better than coloured sink

I went with SS Sink as it is so easy to clean and shine can be maintained with proper care as long as rough use is not present. Also the modular cabinetry required under the granite sink is tricky and looks awful after outside projection. As Praveen says, i agree it is so hard to remove the granite sink, mould smell quickly occurs in granite sink. Don't go for SS sinks which are 3-4 thousand in costs. A very good SS sink will cost you 10 grand.

I purely went with Granite monolithic, Jet Black sink of 2x2 matching with my jet black kitchen top, since i am thinking of only durability for the rented houses.
Also you can find oval shape with bigger dimensions which look good for modular kitchens.
i shall upload some photos of the same..
