Hi ...
I want to install upvc windows for my house. I have consulted and have taken quotation from three vendors namely Fenestech, Kassa(KOS profiles from korea) and Encraft India(authorised fabricator). Among all these 3, Fenestech have given quoted with highest amount. I wanted to hear some reviews or feedbacks on these three brands if any one of you had installed. Quality? Maintenance? Profile life? etc.,
I personally had a check on the buildings that they had installed but could not figure out much as I am a naive builder .....So Could some one help me with this. Thank You!

You can go for SAL wood windows than UPVC profiles, and they probably are cheaper than UPVC.

Thanks bloremanger for ur help.
But, we have already given provisions and have fixed the widow grills on the wall with required offset. Given a chance with wood also, I may not be in a position to do it. So, pls help me with the feedbacks on UpVC ones mentioned above.

Hi ,
UPVC industry has grown 300% in the market in the last 3-4 years .You have N number of companies coming up every day. Few things you need to understand about UPVC
1.UPVC windows are not ready made by company , they are done same as aluminium windows .It comes as profiles of length 12' each and then they are fabricated in local factory
2. UPVC welding is very important to get better life of joints , weld joints should have UV resistance
3. Many vendors though they use best profiles like KOS, koemmerling, they fabricate on cheap Chinese fabrication machines on which alignments are bad and loose welding ends
4. Make sure they give you heavy duty sections , many times to reduce the cost they change the sections with less reinforcement , tracks with out metal runners, cheap hardware etc .
5. Cost of UPVC windows will be less as you design the windows with less wastage. Its all automated calculated from company side , but you can ask them the ideal size to reduce the cost .
6. Glass specs used in important to get better temperature / acoustics results .using thin glass will never give you better acoustics .
Make sure you go with vendor who has proper set of fabrication , you can even visit the factory to get an idea .Some of the known brands are LG, Rehau, komerling, fenesta, aparna, wintech and many more .
