Nalin,
I would suggest that you donot take a chance with something critical to human safety like an elevator. If you are not looking at the above brands, you could also consider ETA Melco (Mitsubishi)- it is not worthing people's lives by going for a cheaper elevator.

Hi,
The major problem with elevator companies is the lead time more than 9 to 18 months with 90% payment .They don't even respond properly to smaller clients. In any building lift should be ordered immediately once the footing are done.
In case of local company quality is the major factor.you get lot of companies from tamilnadu . In local there are better reliable ones like usha ,surya etc....

I have analyzed both Johnson Basica and Kone Swift 6 passenger, powder coated, Automatic elevator with machineroom for 5 stops. Both are good. Johnson Basica model which is good value for money and one of my friend has it installed in his house and he is so far happy with it(2 years completed). Kone Swift model is also good and I have installed the same in my house and quite satisfied with the lift and their service level. Basica was around 8.5 lakhs and Kone costs around 9 laks all inclusive with ARD(Auto Rescue Device if no generator provision ) and Overload indicator. This was the price finalized almost 2 years back. Ofcourse both wanted 4-6 months lead time and required 90% upfront payment.
It is important that the lift shaft is constructed as per needs of the intended lift to minimize hassles during installation. Also ensure that your BESCOM distribution transformer earth to neutral voltage is less than 5V if you don't have a transformer installed for your building as anything above 5V causes malfunctioning of ARD device in both these lifts resulting in frequent service calls. Many BESCOM transformers have issue in this area and get it checked by your electrician using multimeter. If the issue is observed, only BESCOM can rectify the same.

How many floors/stops/height in mtrs your kone elevator reach?
Could you please give an idea on much space required to install it? Is the mentioned price all inclusive of installation? The installation is by kone or by us?
Thanks.

I have installed 5 stop configuration(apprx height for each stop is 10 feet). Price is inclusive of installation. Installation will be done by them except civil work needed for anchor hooks. You have to check with the vendor(you might be able to get the same from their website) for dimensions and other details
