Hi All ,

I soon plan to construct house in North Bangalore and i am planning to have a rainwater harvesting (RH) for my house.

I have 30x40 site and i plan to construct a duplex house for myself.

Anybody has installed a RH for their house ?

Please share your knowledge/experience etc.

Thanks for the reply Nivas.

If anybody has installed in their house , they can share their experience.
I am also looking for a technology to refill borewell as well.

water needs to percolate down through the percolation pit and then reach the aquifer for recharging and through hundreds of feet of earth , nature has ways to tackle pathogens from reaching the aquifer . It may look very innocent directly to connect the terrace to aquifer via the borewell shaft , but may have dire consequence to all those who feed from the same aquifer.
for ex , ebolla\rabies like virus from the fecal matter of bats on your terrace , may mutate in the subterranean environment and become deadly water borne virus. Bats are carriers of many deadly diseases ,rabies and ebolla are well known. it is necessary to keep the aquifer pristine.
