Dear Sir,
The rates should be mutually agreed before awarding a job.
and the rates are according to site, area, and other factors.

Sathish,
Looks like a bit on a higher side. I too am constructing based on item rate, and was thinking my engineer is charging more but after looking at yours looks like mine is reasonable.
Not much less though, item prices are like less by 10-30rs (eg. your case steel is being charged @ 75rs/kg mine is 60 and M20 is 255 for first floor and your case it comes to ~299rs).
Again, if you are happy with the quality of work and the quality of materials used, I think this slight differences should be fine.. ??!!

Thanks @hegde19 for reply. Quality of work is good.
The price difference of 20rs will make a huge difference in the long run, but With limited knowledge on construction this is expected.

Hi Satish
Prices are at par with market standards considering the contractor is a A- class.
I find the material specs are too basic with out any base price mentioned ,since this is a running bill probably the contractor would have removed the specs ,but make sure that details material specs are mentioned in the actual quote like steel brand , cement brand , sand quality , construction methods etc...
