Hi,

I asked a contractor to provide me an estimate with details of what material he will use and so on.

he has given me something like this:

Construction: Light Weight Bricks with Ultratech cement.
Doors & Windows: Teak wood frame
Floor: Virtrified Tiles at 60/Sq. Ft
Kitchenl: 2 feet Green Marble

I thought they will provide me entire details. when i asked contractor - he told me this is all they provide to all and assured me of good quality construction.

Can someone help me out of what i need to ask the contractor and share "estimate or cost sheet" which i could refer to.

I have found one very detailed House construction estimate in one of the forum. Same is attached below. Prices in the format are not updated.
I think very few contractor would be ready to provide all the details mentioned in this format. However you can always refer to this document and understand the specifications if he is willing to share.

I have started construction about a month back and with the help of this document i knew what are the important specifications to ask to Contractor.
