I am planning to construct 2000 sq.ft. Duplex house with framed structure (column & beams).
Can any member share approx. quantity of sand required in CFT for this type of construction.
Any information on total loads of Sand procured with approx. CFT per load for any completed / under construction building with details of No. of floors, sq. ft. area, etc. will also do.
This is will be very much helpful for my cost estimation.
Regards

@venkyn,
Thanks for the details.
I presume, the quantity you have given is in terms of "UNITS" and the conversion will be 1 UNIT = 100 cft.
Total quantity consumed : 6040 cft for 3200 sq. ft. building, i.e. 1.9 cft/sq.ft.
Kindly confirm.

My building consumed 5900 cft of sand for structure and plastering. Total built-up is around 4300 sft, cement block construction, Karur and trichy sand.
The measurement is accurate, not the measurement told by the supplier. For example before the sand strike, ie until January end, the supplier used to tell 370-380cft for 6 wheeler and 540-580cft for 10 wheeler.
We used to measure each load (different lorries) and found that the actual measurement was as following:
6 wheeler full load (before strike) : 320-330cft
10 wheeler full load (before strike) : 480-500 cft
6 wheeler body level load (post strike) : 270-280cft
10 wheeler body level load (post strike) : 400-420 cft
If we go by the sand supplier's words, then my building has consumed about 7000 cft.
