Which paint to use for the sump and (concrete) water tank ?

Hi,

Any idea which paint needs to be used inside the sump and inside the concrete water tank ?

Someone was referring that asian paint and other brands have some paint for this.

You get specialized chemicals that can be applied as paint for waterproofing .
There are many types of waterproofing for sumps(suitable for Potable water \ Non Toxic) , if rightly used , it lasts long. Each of this has its own advantages and disadvantages .
a) Crystalline Water proofing
b) Elastomeric Cementious Coating
c) Silicone Based Coating
d) Epoxy based Coating

I am doubtful if Asian paints manufacture above products , However the following companies manufacture the above, Fosroc, Sika , PermaIndia , ArdexEndura,Pidilite etc. Decide on the company and You can call their helpline and they will suggest you the product and place to purchase.

I have used Fosroc BrushBond RFX for sumps . It worked well for me.

Hi Nivas, Can you help me with choosing the right waterproofing coat inside the sump tank.

Looking for low maintainence after the coat. Is it applied twice? How did Forsoc work for you?
