For my under construction residence in 1st / 2nd floor bath and 2nd floor Landscape areas, planning to use Sika® Raintite Water proofing solution (http://ind.sika.com/en/solutions_produc ... 08101.html)

If anyone has experience with this, kindly let me know your feedback on this water proofing solution as well as price per sqft, the quotation i received is 35 per sqft.

This is polymer additive(of class Styrene Butadiene Rubber SBR latex) to cement mortar , which improves Bonding and has some waterproofing qualities, similar to Dr Fixit Pidicrete URP, Fosroc Nitobond SBR etc. I do not know how 35 per sqft was achieved, in general it is available in liters ranging from 300 to 500 \ lt depending on company to be added approx 1:1:3 by volume of liquid : vol of Water : Cement(kg)
In general it is a misconception that waterproofing is accomplished by just adding polymers to cement. In my experience water tightness will not be achieved by just adding one additive. i have flooded the bathroom after each step below and noticed how important each step is. you need to do it in layers to ensure proper seal and lasting water proofing.
it might cost any where between Rs 5K to 8k per bathroom, including labour and materials ,if we do all these below steps.
whether it is any Bathroom or Landscape areas.
Bath room floor Concrete \ Screed Additive : (SBR class Additive) Sika Raintite\ Fosroc SBR , Pidicrete URP etc (Add to Screed etc)
Bathroom wall plastering : (Lignosulphate class additives ) Fosroc Conplast XR421, or Pidilite LW+ etc ( Add to Cement Plaster).
Optional Crystalline water proofing after plastering \ laying screed: Brushbond TGP ( Fosroc)
BathRoom wall and Floor(Before applying tiles) : Apply Elastomeric coating (Brushbond or Brushbond RFX) to walls up to half the height of bathroom and entire floor.
Around Bathroom Pipe joints : Use Cementious or epoxy grouts , MYK Latecrete, Ardex endura Or membrane seal (Stick on seals) .
In between floor tiles : Epoxy grouts : For ex Latapoxy SP 100 or ardexendura
Dr Fixit packages these various products into a Bathseal kit.

Hi members,

I'm looking for a person to apply brush bond for my open terrace area and bathrooms. Masons are not ready to do it and requesting for experts to come to site for doing it. The site is located on BG Road and the area is around 2000 sft.

Please suggest a waterproofing contractor in the vicinity and also what are the approximate rates for the same.

Cheers,
