building plan approval

hi,

I had applied for building plan sanction through an agent who sits in BBMP local office, 2.5 months back.
Still it is not getting approved. I paid around 80k (DD charges + bribe) to him.
When I asked him about the status he was saying that the application is on the table but BBMP executive is very busy because of heavy rains in blore blah blah.. Today he started saying that the executive is asking the development charges receipt.

Is there anybody experiencing the same problem nowadays? Are the BBMP officers so busy nowadays?

Now I am planning to take my documents(DD paid receipts) and bribe money back and apply somewhere else.

If your site area is less than 4000sft, the approval should take 1-2 weeks only. For my site since dimension was 4600 sft, my file had to wait for a monthly meeting that happens for larger area site and multiple officials have to approve it. Inspite of that my agent got the site inspection process done in 15 days and I was allowed to construct. The signed copies of plan come a month later.

Looks like your agent is either not competent enough or trying to extract more out of you.

mine is a small 30X30 site.
It looks like agent is not competitive or his relation with BBMP officers might have gone bad. Till now he has not hinted about more money.
My frustration level is going up day by day.

From which BBMP office you took sanction?

Why can't you take the money back and try - SAKALA.

Apply here and max time for this would be 30 days. But, if you bribe definitely this would be done within a week or 2.
