Hi Guys,
Following are the pending civil works for my new home. Can you suggest a better and productive order in which I should execute them ?
1. Wall putty and painting.
2. Flooring using tiles.
3. Fixing sanitoryware and taps.
4. Landscaping - etc.
5. Compound wall.
Thanks,
Prabhu

Below is the sequence assuming sanitary & water supply is connected to main line.
1. Compound Wall
2. Flooring using tiles---Ensure to cover them properly else it will get spoiled.
3. Fixing sanitoryware and taps---Ensure to cover them properly else it will get spoiled.
4. Landscapping
5. Wall putty and painting.---Primer,Wall putty can be done in parallel however 2 coats of painting. Polishing to be done in last.

Hi Santro,
Thanks for your suggestions.
If flooring is done before the painting, will the tiles get spoiled ? If flooring is done using marble, polishing should remove the residue of paints, Please let me know. Are you saying we should cover the floor while we paint ?
Thanks,
Prabhu

if you are going for marble or tiles then the contractor will cover it with a layer of putty kind of substance (forget exactly what it is called), that is poured over the floor that has been covered with wet newspaper. This later can be removed easily, will prevent scratches and also blobs of paint. But don't be fooled, if they don't cover it thick enough, then it is worthless. Best would be to get good covers to drop over the floor, so painters can move their ladder on it vs. directly on the floor (even if it is covered with that putty kind of stuff).
