RED BRICKS

Post by Pooja »

Hi Friends,
Decided to use red bricks instead of blocks.
Could you please give me some details which brand of red bricks is the best?

Where are the suppliers located ( towards Marathalli side) ?
Any precautions to keep in mind while using red bricks ?

Thanks for your time.
Waiting for your valuable inputs.

SCB bricks are well known for their quality. When I was looking for some, I contacted them and found out that they give only full load of bricks and that too there is a waiting time once you order.

Other than that I have heard of SVB and SSB.

Redbricks are definitely better than cement blocks. Search forum for previous discussion on bricks vs cement blocks. These days contractors don't want to use them as it increases cement/sand consumption and also the construction gets slower.

Hi Pooja,

even in RED bricks you get wire cut bricks(not the one which does not require plastering), do look into that also.

cheers

Hi guys,

Heard that coal chamber bricks are good for construction. Nowadays bricks are burnt using fly ash and hence the brick may not be strong.
Also learnt that if we want coal burnt chamber bricks, we need to get it only from Anekal side.
Any references of coal burnt chamber bricks near Anekal?

Thanks.

Check www.btiles.com. Haven't bought wire cut bricks from these guys personally. My brother enquired with these folks a while ago and he felt they were very reasonable and the quality of bricks was also good.
