Hi All,

I'm about to finalize the Pooja room concept, just need your valuable inputs on the concept(pl. ref the attachment)
Pooja room In triangular shape
Pooja room In triangular shape
Planning to have a pooja room in a living room in triangular shape meaning Idol of God will be placed between two walls facing east as per the attachment. The plot is facing NE.

Im thinking of constructing the entrire structure in a glass as it looks good, Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Thanks & regards,
Anil

Pooja room in the north east corner is very good according to Vaastu. Just checked with my dad. Any triangular or Circular shaped walls are considered inauspicious in Vaastu. Entire structure is glass again is not suggested since it will heat up the interior of the Pooja room, so its like keeping God in a hot place. Entirely based on my understanding.
others can add to this. :-) .
All the best with the designing.

Hi,

+1 for Nagzzz

Triangular Shape is not auspicious for Pooja room, Even the Site/House should not be in Triangular Shape.

Regarding the Glass Structure is not suggestable, as it will be transparent to outside and everything will seen by outsides as you have planned in Hall.

Make it in Rectangular shape with Pooja Room Door Facing to East Side as well as Idol of God. Don't make any Space with Lintel/Chajja on the top of the Pooja Room.
Either close with Glass or Plywood with Designs above the Pooja Room.

Door Height also should be small compared to Main Door, You should bend your neck and has to go inside and Cealing also not be too height like other Rooms.

Hi Nag & Chida,

Thank you for the quick reply. As you can see in attachment its only the Place where i keep idol is in triangular shape but the wall of the pooja room is not triangle... is it still not advaisable?

Will reconsider the glass option, will go with combination of wood & glass.

While we are on that topic, my puja room door is in the west side. Is it ok to place idols facing east ?
My site is actually not an exact North facing one but slightly North-west facing...

@vpbs, you can place the idols facing East and that's the best position. You can see any temples, where the God/Goddess faces East.
Regarding Triangular structure, even structurally also it's not good advice. you waste lots of space and all corners occupy most space. As suggested by someone, see if you can make it a pyramid. Otherwise, go with standard square/rectangular shape with ceiling having Glass in pyramid shape. I had done similar to our poja room.
If you have some belief in vaastu, then it's better to do it right to have peace of mind. Otherwise, everything that happens in your life will be linked to poja room.
