Hi Friends

I am new to this forum.

I am planing to consctuct the house in the plot are 30*59. I thought for geving for contract but the pricing what he has give is very very huge and i cant able to meet him. I gave me one more option that is Labout Contract "HERE I HAVE SUPPLY THE MATERIALS AND PAY THE LABOUR". I think i can go for this.

Some of my friends told me that if you go for labout contract we can save money but the only risk will be that we have supply the meterials one time. I understood that there more risk in this and i am ready to take the risk.

I need to know some basic details which are as follows.

1. How many number of Bricks need to construct 10 * 10 (Pilar Construciton)
2. How many Cement Bags need to construct 10 * 10 (Same as above)
3. How much sand needed to construct 10 * 10(same as above)
4. How much Jelly needed to construct 10 * 10 (same as above). If possible please give the Rate for this
5. How much steel needed to construct 10 * 10 (same as above). I got the rates of the steel of the different dimentions (mm)

Wating for your reply.

Please help me out to construct my dream house.

Regards
Ravi

Hi ravi,
All the quantities are as per theory,in practical it may vary depending up on conditions, thickness, leveling, openings and wastage etc....

1. How many number of Bricks need to construct 10 * 10 (Pilar Construciton)

400 bricks for 100sft 4" wall
800 bricks for 100sft 9" wall
2. How many Cement Bags need to construct 10 * 10 (Same as above)
for rcc 0.18 bag per sft
for brick work .04 bag per sft
for plastering 0.11 bag per sft
for other 0.03 bag per sft
3. How much sand needed to construct 10 * 10(same as above)
for rcc 0.70 cft per sft
for brick work 0.16 cft per sft
for plastering 0.75 cft (internal)
External 0.50 cft (external)

4. How much Jelly needed to construct 10 * 10 (same as above). If possible please give the Rate for this
Rcc works 0.90 cft per sft

5. How much steel needed to construct 10 * 10 (same as above). I got the rates of the steel of the different dimentions (mm)

2.5 kg per sft

The material quantification can be done only to 80-85% precision. You need to be greedy while giving materials to contractor at the same time shouldn't give him a chance to say that because of less material quality and finishing not coming out well.
