just trying to find out the general procedure for payment -- do you pay the entire amount upfront when you place an order for vitrified tiles with the dealer or you pay an advance and then pay the rest of the amount on delivery?
any experience with dealer Hemadiri? If so, please share...

the dealer says it will take 2-3 weeks to deliver the tiles (not in dealer stock). so want to know what one does in this case for payments? pay an advance and then the rest on delivery - is this an accepted practice?

Then better pay some advance and give rest of the money after product delivery. Because some dealers wont stand on words after receiving the full money. I purchased tiles in bangalore ceramics. With in 2 days they gave the delivery..

Hi Tendlu,
Yes, that is the practice, why should you pay the full payment in advance. If the lot has damaged & with out physical verification don't pay the full amount.
Since you mentioned it will take 2-3 weeks for delivery, don't pay the vendor for full amount.
If he is not agreeing, please look out for other Vendors. Also let us know what type of Vitrified Tiles you are putting.
Size & cost of the tiles you ordered, any discount availed for the same.

Hi,
Full payment is made only if stocks are ready.other wise you can ask them for 60 or 70% payments.Making full payment on delivery is always recommended.
