We are constructing house in HSR and need reliable contact where I can buy? We are looking
for 25T. Can I get good contact to get prime gold/Indus ?

prakash its always better to buy steel with a dealer but as you wont buy all the 25T in one shot its better to goto a shop close buy and purchase as per need.It may be a few hundred ruppes extra/ton but its ok as they cant fraud the name of company such as indus/PG.

hi, i have a contact in Marathahalli who is genuine. Ping me and i can share his details. But negotiate the prices yourself. The last i heard indus is around 50k a week ago.

Price may not vary more than Rs.500-1000 between the traders for the same brand.
you need to give importance for two factors, not just the price.

1) The scale which used to weight the steel. Many traders made workarounds to cheat the customers or sometimes the guys who measure can also do various mechanism to increase the weight artificially. Here reliability of the trader comes in to picture.

2) Transportation. Many times the transporter who is in nexus with the trader cheats you. You don't receive entire units you purchased at your site which they loaded at the source. They remove some units before reaching your point.

The trader whom i suggested to prakash honours the calculation that is used to weigh steel. i dont remember it off hand buts its something like (dia*dia/162)*length. You can check with your architect for the right calculation. So you dont have to worry about how they weigh it nor the guy who is transporting it. i followed this during my house construction.

My house is also under construction and we need to buy steel as and when required, it is not one time requirement/purchase. I am getting steel from a single supplier and same brand every time ,he supplies required amounts when we just place an order by phone and collects payments against delivery. He is a reputed dealer in Bangalore south ,call Mr Vijay ,mob 9844304951 ( M/S Eashwari Enterprises) for more details and you can refer my name if required. please note ,I have no business links with him and got his refrence from one of my relative. I bought JSW steel and I hope he deals few more brands.Hope this helps.

Additional point that you need to give importance is that the steel needs to look like steel with a silver shining color and not rusted.

Otherwise don't have to worry a lot if its a branded steel.
