wood to use

My contractor says he wants to use SAL wood for window frames ? Is this good ? I prefer Neem rather - costwise do they more or less cost same.
Per my research and talking to experts, neem is strict no no as it'll bend.
Sal is also bad and develops cracks...I may go for honne wood frame + shutters
