This specification of sump, my contractor charged me at Rs 10/Ltr -
ā¢ BRICK WORK SUMP of approximately 10,000 Ltrs with āUā type 8 MM rod at every 6ā, with Mesh, and 2 quotes of water proof plastering on all 4 sides and bottom with high quality checkered sump door.
He also said that it will be equivalent to RCC sump, if built in this way. Also, he says this is not ideal if sump is touching any of the neighbors walls/compound etc. Ideal in case of sump being right below garage space etc etc...

We did the sump ourselves. For a 6000 litre full RCC sump, it definitely costed more than 70k.
Some high-level breakup:
Labor:
1. Earthwork - 12k
2. Centring - 10k
3. Bar bending - 8k
4. Mason - 10k
Material:
1. Cement - 15 bags 53 grade
2. Sand, jelly - cost is almost same as that of cement
3. Steel - around 250 kg
