Rain Water Harvesting

Post by pvr59ksl »

HI all :?

What is the procedure for implementing RWH. I am planning to lead the terrace water to sump through a filter and the excess water to the recharging well. I have already dug the well and only the pipe and filter connections are remaining. Now, some people say that I have to take permission from the BWSSB for this and also take certification from the the authorized contractors. Is this true. Those who have done RWH, please help.

Similarly for Solar Water Heater also. Is there any certification from the company to be taken and submitted to BESCOM other than the bill ? Is there any procedure for installing Solar Water Heaters?

Firstly its not clear, whether you are implementing them in an existing building or in a new building under construction.?
BWSSB has only trained few plumbers on how to implement the RWH. Its not mandatory that you need to utilize their service.
You can get it done yourself or with the help of any ordinary plumber.

For all your RWH related queries, you can contact the RWH Theme park help desk.

Dear Tendlu,

Don't get confused or misguide anyone.

BWSSB has only trained them on implementing the RWH System. They're not the approved contractors.
Its not mandatory to get the work done only by these contractors. We can use anyone
having fair idea about the RWH to do the same job.
