I don't understand how people have G+3 on 30x40 site. I thought there were height limitations to the building based on the width of the site and the road width. Anyways, in my opinion, lift is kind of not very useful. Think about it, most of the time we have power cuts and blackouts, so what is the point in a lift. If you want backup power for it, a regular inverter is not sufficient is my understanding, you will need a generator. Besides, you will be losing precious space to the lift well.

Considering the construction area (without any bylaw violation), you can go max 1000 sq.ft in a 30X40 size. In this if you want to accommodate the Lift + Staircase(mandatory), you are going to waste nearly 250 sq.ft. Loosing 250sq.ft useful area in a 30ax40 size is not a wise idea.
Also the electrical power usage in the lift operation is very high, as it operates in 3 phase power with high powered Motors(Even for 4 person Capacity Capsule Lifts), you may need to spend several Rs.1000 (at present tariff)in the KPTCL Bills every month only for Lift operation.
Secondly the Maintenance/AMC support in Indian Market is not professional grade and periodic, as we are hearing frequent news on lift fails/accidents in many commercial buildings

Hi,My thoughts on lifts are simple "are you ready to spend 10 lac on a lift".There are no customized lifts you get less than 10 lac.
10 lac lift + 2lac ups or genset + 80k stabilizer to save drives from power fluctuations + annual maintenance of 14k + annual 10k for oils, spares, wear and tear items.
