How do you all secure your overhead tank cover. Mine has blown away with the wind (this is the second time this has happened). Can someone please provide any info on securing it such that it does not fly away (we had tied it with the little clasp that is provided - but that does not seem to be sufficient).
Thanks in advance.

someone please help me with this. I am really anxious about the covers flying off and me having to buy new ones. Worse yet, one time it broke my solar panels and I had to spent a fortune on replacing it.
Would really appreciate someone's help.

I have a Kavery tank ( I accept its relatively new ) with a cover. It has a hinge on one side, and the other side , I have tightened with a metal wire. It held good for last 8 months. Not sure if you have a different type of cover.

Thanks Jackalbda,
I have a Kaveri also, and had the wire clasp on one side and the hinge on the other, had to replace a few months back because it blew off and fell on my solar panels. Now it has blown off again (at least this time it did not fall on the panels). I don't know what else we could do. Are there any cages or anything like that, that could be attached over the cover perhaps?
I have to do some exploring then.

I have a old 1K Ltr tank. I had the same problem, so just kept 2 bricks above it....funny but still going good
But note that there is a chance that tank cover bending inside due to the weight of bricks, that plastic softens during day.

Because of these problems Vectus has come up with glass jar lid kind of cover. the rates are comparable to kaveri.

Sun, thanks for the suggestion. I was a little wary of doing that, since the cover itself damaged my panels, what happens if the bricks get dislodged from there. Will try it though.
Dream Home, thanks for the recommendation, but we already have a good tank, so looking for covers for the existing tank (Not sure I am ready to change the tank yet). Please let me know if someone has come up with some good design for existing tanks.
thanks
