House Painting through Asian Paints

Post by maheshv »

Hello,
sharing one piece of information I got today.
I had taken asian paint company service for getting interior and exterior coloring suggestion, during the interaction I came to know that, Asian paint take up painting project for houses both new and old.
Advantage
Highly skilled workers
Professional service

Disadvantage
They charge sqft measurement for walls and other work like wood polishing, grill painting charges are extra.

However when you looks at their cost, it is 17.50/sqft for exterior wall, 25 or 27 for interior wall. 70 to 80 for texture finish. This includes material.
Asian paint guy's rough estimate for my house was around 2.5 lakhs. My current estimate with labor contract (material i am supplying) which is already underway to 3 - 3.5 lac
For me it was already too late to make changes and my Paint contractor is doing good job so far. I wanted to share this info with you so that you can explore this option too.

Hi Maheshv,

Thanks for sharing the info. It is very useful to know.

I think they get a small paint contractor to take up the job and complete and the painters are not AP staff. Am I right?

during my house construction, I have explored the option of getting through asian paints. But, trust me..it's not really worthy. They just go by typical business, and the labor are not really that skilled. couple of my friends have done their paint work (new homes) and they were really not happy. Also, if you have your own labor, you have the option to change/modify and based on the wall condition, they might go for additional putty, primer, etc. So, you have so much flexibility but I agree that you need to get a decent labor contractor.
