guys i have contacted couple of solar heater dealers. These are inputs, kamal/Anu suggesting to go for ETC for hardwater ,and Solarizer/Tata suggesting FPC as they manufactures that ,and mentions that even ETC will worn out because of hardwater after 3 years. Does anybody have experience on using ETC for more than 3 to 5 years ? . How good is ETC solar heaters as Tata/Solarize all suggesting to go for FPC .....? . Is ETC will worn out in 3 years in hardwater as Anu mentions no problem will come as they have installed in many clients which are working for many years....

@sam_m400 - All depends on your water hardness. Get it tested from Lab. Don't go by tiny device measurement which salesman carries because that is TDS , not Hardness and even TDS is not correct , One person measured it 250 and another 360 for me.
ETC is beater in terms of water heating and hard water but only issue with ETC is that glass tubes are breakable even with a stone. If you have kids around they can break it while playing.
FPC has toughened glass so much stronger but water will not be much hot in clody days but still if hardness is less , we can go for FPC. In cloudy days we can rely on gyser.
Some Keypoints about FPC Models
Tata Zing - upto 600ppm
Racold Omega - upto 200ppm
Solarizer value - upto 200ppm
Solarizer Ultra - upto 2000ppm as it comes with Heat exchanger.
Tata/Racold dont have Heat exchanger model so they will claim its not good as it need lots of maintenance. But i thinks it's not much.

my location water sample is 750 ppm so i was thinking to go for Solarizer water exchanger. Initially Anu mentioned ETC stating it is suited for hardwater after i mentioned heat exchanger they were ETC won;t sustain so better go for FPC with exchanger. so basically ETC is not suited for longer years ,so i am also planning for Solarizer with exchanger.
I got quote 24060 from Anu ,and 26316 with exchange almost 2000 Rs more no clue why? Any idea why its price is over ....
HOW ABOUT SERVICE OF Solarizer? . Where is there office i need pay the advance cheque as they told they will send one person whom i can pay that ,but need to know there office as in future any issues we can directly contact there????
@Raghu: i won't be able to go as no clue how there service will be ? If they close in one or two years there getting service would be real problem as spare parts of these won;t be available locally ,so need to depend on them throughout its life. So better go for standard ones.

I am not sure about Anu , But solarizer cost 39k with heat exchanger and 2kw backup for Solarizer Ultra AV (Without pressurizer). You can check office address nd all on their website.
Did you get it tested from Lab. If solar guy has tested it using tiny device which looks like thermometer , then it is not hardness, it is TDS.

Based on online reviews , Solarizer seems much better than Anu. In my case i am building house in Hosakote and solarizer dealer is also located their only. So i prefer solarizer. Let me know if you are also interested in solarizer we can get a better deal.
