Hello,

I am looking for a pump for my sump tank. Nowadays, there are submersible pumps for sump tank.

+ advantages of submersible pumps
1. makes no noise
2. need not make any mesh enclosure above the ground.

- disadvantages
1. 40% more expensive

I checked out some brands

price range looks like this Texmo < Suguna < Vguard < Smart Sub < Kirloskar

Should I go for submersible and which brand should I go for?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi ,
The other major advantage about submersible is its less maintenance ,no problem of air blocks that happens in regular pumps when there is no water in sumps.

I am also planning to buy one.

My take on brand is 'sharp' ( SS body) ( which I am assuming has a 5 start rating wrt energy saving )
- This is based on a friends recommendation .

I recently got it from a shop near Sarakki...try calling Vijay at 9538367878. His office is next to Giriyas near Sarakki. I had taken at least 8 quotes from different vendors. Everyone suggested different type of cable and pipes, mainly whatever distributionship of pipes and cables they have they suggested to go with that. However, constantly everyone suggested to go with Texmo Aqua brand. When I got quote from this guy, his quote was 7K cheaper from other service providers.

He has a distributionship of Sharp and CRI pumps. He may also recommend CRI cables, however I was adamant to go with Texmo Aqua and Finolex cables.. You can refer my name if needed.

I think the topic got deviated a bit - its not about borewell pumps , but submersible pumps for "Sump".
