Contractor rates/sq ft for a pillar based construction.

Hello All,

Can you please let me know what the current cost of construction is?

I am looking for qoutes for buildng a west facing G + 2 house on a 30 X 40 site. My contractor is charging me 1600/sq ft. My first floor includes a double height living room. I am looking at fully vetrified tiles and a contemporary/modern style design. Can anyone please advice whats the running cost for something like this todat is?

Hi Sudhir,

Rate varies b/w 1400 to 1750 per sq ft.. it depends on matl used and quality of the labour... Pl have a look at your contractor's other works... both completed and the ones under progress... i advise to look at the ones before plastering... (because most of civil work is covered during plastering)...And your architect will play should play a good role to negotiate for quality of work and matl used.
