Electrical box and switch compatibilty

Post by Chandu »

Hi All,
Wanted to know if different brand of Electrical box ( metal ) is compatible with other brand switches.
For example Can I have Anchor Modular box and later ( after deciding ) buy Legard or GM switches ?

yeah, those boxes are of standard dimensions. I had bought some Anchor boxes and then, changed my mind to put legrand.

This post is irrelevant to this topic. But i want to share this info with all.. If any one planning to buy meter boxes go to yashas switches near konnapana aghara. I paid 16.5k for 10 meters box including wiring. tomorrow i will upload the picture of that

I had a couple of more enquires
8 modle and 16 modle anchor metal box is not compatible with Legarnd.
There can be workaround for this - which depends on the workmanship ( done by carpenter ) if not done good
may not come clean - and may affect durability.

Force to think on other options in-spite of my like for Legrand Myrius
