Cornice

Hi,

I like to go for cornice on external wall between floors. My first contractor did not make provision for cornice while laying the slab. I see other home constructions in the vicinity use broken pieces of brick and plaster them to make cornice. My new contractor says such cornice done without reinforced projection from the slab will not last long and is suggesting either to drill the rods and finish the cornice or to go for off the shelf cornice made from synthetic material. Do you guys know any such off the shelf cornice products available in the market ?
