Hi,

I have completed my ground floor roof around 1 month back. I have not done water proofing to sunken slab on rest rooms. Worker fill sunken slab with water for civil work in first floor. I have noticed water seepage in ground floor through sunken area. I have planned to take water proof coating & plastering on sunken area after first floor roof completes.

1. Do water sepage thru sunken area is a problem?
2. Let me avoid to fill water on sunken area till water proofing completes?

I have planned to use fosroc brushbond for water proofing on sunken area.

Same thing with me as well. When I talked to my architect, he said it , ideally , should go off , once the waterproofing is done for the first floor bathroom floor. For me, the water proofing got completed last week .I have asked the supervisor to keep the water filled in the sunken area now. Will post the results soon !! Keeping my fingers crossed :-)

forsoc bushbond or any other product is proctive coat. it cannot be water stooper unless your base concrete is dense and doesnot observe water before coatings. So please ensure ur base concrete is sound
