Park behind site-Any restrictions on construction of wall ??
Hi All,
Congrats to the site users for having crossed the 5k mark!
I have seen a bda site in kanakapura road. The site has a bda park at the back side (of the site). I am yet to fix the deal but just wanted to check if there is any restrictions(during house construction) to bring up a wall rite next to the park's fence ? or is there any mandatory gap that needs to left ?
Would appreciate reply to this
thanks in advance !

Re: Park behind site-Any restrictions on construction of wal
The setbacks (legal) are the same irrespective of whether the site is adjacent to another site or adjacent to a park.
Re: Park behind site-Any restrictions on construction of wal
I have the exact same situation for my site. There's a BDA park on the back side and I am yet to figure out how to build a compound as the BDA developer has put a metal mesh on top of a foundation. I am not sure if I can put 50% compound wall width on my site and 50% inside the park like the way I am planning to do it on left and right sides.
Re: Park behind site-Any restrictions on construction of wal
if already BDA has made Fence for the park(and it is in good shape), why do you want to construct a compound separately for your boundary ??

This is only for privacy/security purpose as the planned garden area on backside becomes completely visible to park visitors.
Re: Park behind site-Any restrictions on construction of wal
simple & cost effective solution is to put a Fibre sheet cover upto the fence level.

Hi
As per bye law there is no special set backs required for any kind of space next to your property except road width.In away its added advantage to have park ..
good ventilation,good open air view, greenery view
disadvantage
Privacy ,cricket balls,security issues,weeds if not maintained

@msn1270,
Thanks for the suggestion. I will explore that option.
@praveen,
Agree with your assessment. For now, the positives outweigh the negatives and I will probably end up following msn1270's suggestion for privacy..

On the lighter side, you can have a private access to the park with a small opening !!

That's a good idea. Just imagine how delighted shivkamath is to have a private access to park
