RCC slab cutting

Post by kanaka_nagar »

We are planning to convert our individual houses to duplex. My main concern is opening the roof for the staircase. My contractor want to use vibrators along with the conventional breaking. I want him to adopt minimum invasive method without affecting the integrity of the slab. Any contractors who can do the RCC slab cutting. is the rates are based on per feet or per job? how much would it cost to get opening of 6 x 6 feet

My suggestion: Please go and talk to Structural engineer and provide him overview of existing house. Do not do this without his input since he would tell you the best approach.

Slab cutting charges are usually charged hourly if you negotiate instead of lumpsum. I dont know latest ones but go for hourly rate. Also dont forget, get a structural engineer to verify.

Mason or contractor whom you would select will be able to help you with that slab cutting. However, before that please take structural engineer advice. try mailing your requirement to one of the engineers whom i worked ecocon__at__gmail__dot__com. They may also suggest you the approach to take.
