All
I am in process of deciding between Flush Door vs FRP door. Since I am an owner who will be staying in my own house, I have decided that I will go in for "middle level " brands. E.g. I will not go in for very cheap doors - which typically smaller builders will use and will not go for high value brand like Godrej Entranza either.
In this case, an interesting analysis comes up.. I want to confirm the same.
Cost of an "OK level" flush door ~ Rs 65-70+ sq ft (omega doors, niki doors etc.)
Cost of painting the flush door ~ Rs 30per sq ft
Cost of making frame ~ 2000 (Salwood+painting+labour)
Total cost for a 7*3 door ~ 4500
Cost of FRP door (450GSM FRP) @Rs 160 / sqft = 3360
Readymade Frame = 1500 Total ~ Rs 4900
So the final difference comes to only Rs 400 - hence am planning to go for FRP (has longer life)
Are the above costs correct or am I making a mistake ?
