There are mono block & submersible ones too. The average life expectancy of mono bloc is over 15 years & proven too. I have been using Suguna for a very long time, not able to remember how long....very long !!

0.5 hp monoblock pump is good enough for upto 2nd floor.
well known brands like suguna, sharp, usha, V-guard makes available in and around Rs. 2,500/-
1.0 hp cost is around Rs.3,000/ but the pipe diameter changes w.r.to 0.5 hp.

My family's experience with Sharp dates back from the early 80s and we never had a problem. I hope they still make their equipment as good and packed with as much pride.

Hi,
Don't go for a mono block pump, but for a submerssible sump tank pump. This has better efficiency, power consumption is less and there is no sound.
You can contact ganesh industrial corporation wholeseller Ph: 9844059581 - deepak, off: 32995151.
It costs between 3500/- to 5500/- depending upon whether it is a SS body or otherwise. Take SS body.

I am constructing Ground + 1, decided on Vguard submersible SS body Pump but confused on whether i should go for 1/2 HP or 1 HP pump,
Please advice if 1/2 HP is enough for pull water till Ground + 1 and initial construction work.
