Hi
My contractor is quoting 12000 per floor,is it the correct rate,
Iam asking him rate on the point basis but he insists that would cost me more.
He says that he need to do distribution boxes in every room and the charges are based on the meter length.Do
we need the boxes in every room,I told him one tripping circuit at the main door wouldbe sufficient (if incase there is heavy load),these are the remaining charges he is quoting..
light:50
Fan:80
Geyse:150...
Please someone guide me..
Thanks
Velu

Current market rates - 1000 to 1500 per SQUARE (100 SFT). This is calculated on a total site measurement, irrespective of your built up area, if your set backs are minimal. If the setbacks are more, validate the item wise price list !!

Normally the DB Box is placed Per floor. I do not see a reason it to be installed per room.

I feel lumpsum contract is better, not per point based. I am paying
Rs.40,000 for three floors (30x40 plot). The ground floor is currently
reserved for parking and utility. Contractor has agreed to accommodate
changes to the current plan.

Hi,
I am in the process of finalizing the Electrical contract and the contractor has offered me following choices
Labour contract: Rs 1300 per square ( 65 squares calculated on builtup area measured from column to column and not site area, but work will include areas like balcony, utility, stair even though they are outside the buitup area. If all included, It will come to around 72 squares ). For parking lot, it will be a lumpsum amount. This labour charges shall also include external labour costs for works upto Bescom pole
Labour + Material contract : Rs 5750 per square. This includes Finolex wires, VIP pipes, Crabtree or anchor roma modular switches
Could you please suggest which option will be better. In case of Labour + Material contract, should I ask for any more specific details.
Regards,
