Hi,
I have a 6.0*5.9 atrium inthe NorthEastern corner .I want to have a skylight of pyramid shape here.I want to go for
sunlight here as there is a site in the eastern side .

I read in the previous posts that polycarbonate sheets are the best for skylight.
What are all the safety measures that i have to ensure whilegoing for sunlight roofing & to avoid water leakges.
At what stage of construction i have to get it done.
How much it may cost for this size 6.0*5.9.

Thanks
Velu

Hi Velu,
Now you get monolithic sky light with out joints ,they are available in standard sizes only. You can check in poly carbonate shops on sp raod.
Make sure there is a proper ledge all around the skylight so that the water doesn't floor down. There should be a good offset on all sides of skylight for rain water to flow way.
Joints should be sealed properly with aluminum frame and silicon.Good Ms structure is must to support and for security reasons.

Praveen, what shapes are these monolithic sky lights available in? Are they always pyramidic? Also what could be the estimated life of polycarbonate material?
