sgowda

it cost me 68k so far. 569 ft deep, had to use 21 ft outer ring pipe
to stop water seepage from well. cost includes only drilling & casing
pipe. i have been quoted extra 40 k for pipes & motor. precautions
include hiring a reliable geologist. considering the costs involved &
failure rates it helps to get some feedbacks on the geologist.

We did not find water up to 650 Ft, not even a drop, but later start getting 1+" yield.
Water Diviner are of no use and avoid that. Some Mr Subramaniam from Donekundi who located point for us, was waste exercise. He came and just stood at place and told this is best water point.

With mere two magnetic compass, I do not think one can locate water 700 ft below.

Coconut extra are designed to slip on finger action.

I would suggest wrt to you building design, you only identify suitable points and try them.

In fact the one which you dig 700, try to go up to 1100.

Hi Nalin guptha
Don't loose hope, this is a very common case, even a very scientific way fails to find the water sources.
There are cases, people tried for 2 times, yet they don't get water.
You are just starting your construction, there are lot more surprises to be faced. This is not just for you, every member in our group doing there home construction has gone through these stages.
It’s appreciable, that you are sharing your experiences and helping other members. Keep sharing your construction experiences.

Read again. It is not loosing hope but sharing with others that for small sites, there is no point taking help of water diviners or even those how uses mere 2 compasses. I do not consider this or coconut approach scientific enough to pin point water 700 ft below.

If some one has already dig up to 700 ft, then it best is to go to up to 1000-1100 ft before loosing hope or trying another spot.
