I thought the BDA rules does state 3 feet on either side, back and front are based on size of the property! (not completely sure, but that is what I remember it as, check the BDA/BBMP sites for more details on this).

Hi,
you need to leave only 2'6" as per Bbmp rule on the sides,4' on back,6' on the front .Make sure your complaining neighbor too left the same space.

Hi,

I am planning to have a car parking with a wall on my plot boundary ? Is that acceptable to BBMP ? The plot adjacent to the parking wall is empty now.

Thanks
Vimal

Actually I always had the doubt on this. This is particularly regarding a BDA area. If you are not keeping the exact set outs mentioned in the BDA guidelines , what is the immediate action the neighbor can take ? I thought all he can do is to complain to BDA and it take its on course of time to act, which again to a large extent depends on who ( you or your neighbor) bribes more to the officers. Sorry to be sounding so pessimistic, but thats what my understanding is, till now . Is it not the case ? Or will BDA take some immediate action ,like demolition, on the complaint ?

Hello Praveen,

1) What is the offset needed for a 50*80 BDA site (BSK-6 BDA Layout)?
2) I have heard that offset is not applicable to garage area... is this true?

Will be great help if you could point to a good source on the net that talks about offsets for bda sites..

Thanks.

Jackalbda,

hope still you are not aware of the RTI. Now anybody who has given formal complaint to any of the Government/aided departments can apply for the action taken on their Complaint through RTI Act. Even BDA is also comes under this and very much accountable under RTI for its every action. If there is no action on the complaint within a reasonably acceptable time, the complainant can pull the BDA commissioner to the court.
