My Contractor also told the same and he is expecting the strike to be over by 20th Jan.

Govt is not sensitive to all the labors who are dependent on construction Industry.

Hello,

Some TV channels reporting it is not yet withdrawn, only other people who were supporting sand lorry owners have called off and the core sand lorry owners continuing the stir.
This is also what Mr.Shunmugappa the president of sand lorry owners association was telling in a TV channel.
Even today's TOI reports the same , though some are reporting it is called off,so lot of confusion regarding the present status.

Sand lorry strike is still going on.. In my place sand lorry owners are are doing day robbery.. 400cft load is up to 15k.. 10 wheeler lorry sand up to 80k. Recently i called 35 to 40 sand dealers by taking their no from just dial and olx.. some are not supplying sand because of strike and some are telling double triple rate. On idiot asked 1.5 lakh for 10 wheeler lorry san  d.. After calling this people i came to one conclusion. Tamilnadu sand dealers are supplying sand in bit low rates compare to bangalore dealers.. 3 to 4k difference is there..

Strike is almost over. But govt have to allot sand dumping areas. acc to some minister it may take 20 more days and at present 7000 loads sand is available. The are planning to call tender asap. Yesterday i gave 43k to 540 cft, thirchy sand. Cost is more but no other option. Sand is superb for plasting purpose
